Puhoy! by Tom Herpich and me, this Monday on Cartoon Network.
I’m preeeeetty proud of this one and I’m excited for everyone to watch it. There’s some fun stuff in here!
A new episode of Adventure Time airs on Monday called “Little Dude.” I storyboarded it with Cole Sanchez! I’m normally on the design team, so this was my first time storyboarding anything. Cole and Adam Muto basically held my hand through the whole process, and were both incredibly patient with me. It was a fun one to work on, and based on a concept Andy Ristaino came up with.
This is also the first episode I did some design work on. I remember getting the 200+ page storyboard by Cole and Michael and being blown away that these guys do this every month. Also the story concept was by the brilliant Andy Ristaino.
I hope you guys like this episode.
lulatronic asked: Hey! Love your stuff! What inking method do you use? I noticed the line weight varies and is rough, but it adds a uniqueness to your style. Trying to learn good inking techniques:)
I’m using a Pentel Stylo pen because they give them to us at work and it feels a lot like a good G-nib.
But I think the best thing to do when learning is to get your hands really dirty with some ink and brushes and nibs. Try hunt 102s, Sable #7s, and G-nibs. Try them all out and see what feels best.
